Kind of like a digital commonplace book. A much easier way to make connections, with a clean layout.

Background

Something that I’ve been working on for quite some time if I’m being absolutely honest. Seems simple enough laid out like it is in the video above, but it took a lot of trial and error to get it to this point. I couldn’t find anything similar to it online (the example of Elizabeth Filip’s version wasn’t exactly what I was looking for but it was a great, great starting point), so I figured I should make it available in case it sparks any ideas for anyone else.

Main thing I love about it is the fact that I can make a random note, tag it and then extract points from that note and tag those separately and everything stays connected and perfectly organized.

I am currently trying to think of how it can be translated to a storyboard or story writing project (because my mind works the same irritatingly consistent way: lots of brain dumps that I need to then sift through to get to the nuggets), but will definitely share that as well once I figure it out.

Until then, hope this helps!
